Joes Repair Shop/Surrey Saab Specialists is among the most highly rated garages in the Honest John Good Garage Guide, achieving consistently high ratings despite having been a one-man mobile business until recently. That one man – Joe Pugh – has now hired a hand - Darren - and set up shop in a new premises in Surrey, located by the Epsom Downs racecourse.
There's a change of name, to Joe's Repair Shop, but the garage continues to specialise in Saab models, however it will also repair, maintain and service all makes and models. Joe explained to us that his business owes a lot of its success to the positive ratings on the Good Garage Guide – the Surrey Saab Specialists / Joe’s Repair Shop entry currently features 38 reviews.
Originally in charge of the garage at a Saab main dealer, Joe left when the dealer relocated and set up shop on his own. Despite being a mobile mechanic Joe started to receive positive reviews on the net.
Following several years working as a mobile specialist Joe recently set up in a premises near Tattenham Corner railway station on the Epsom Downs. The garage was being sold by its previous owner, so Joe made an offer and rebranded as Joe’s Repair Shop, expanding to work all makes and models.
The garage is a very friendly place to be. Joe and Darren are happy, enthusiastic and knowledgeable, making a visit enjoyable as well as useful. Joe takes pride in his ability to solve problems.

Joe serviced my SAAB for years...sadly now it's sold but he has just completed a service on my BMW Hybrid and as usual it was great work at a fair price. I always have peace of mind that this garage is highly competent and I am never going to be overcharged.....it's just a brilliant little local garage.

I have used Joe's repair shop for several years, since he was able to diagnose and repair a problem I had with a SAAB that had defeated every other garage. Despite being more than 13 miles away from where I live, I use Joe's repair shop for all my cars, personal and company.

I was taking my wife to Dorking via Tattenham Corner when my car needed urgent attention.? I rang the AA but after they confirmed a 1 hour wait, I then received a message advising it would be a further 2 hours before help would arrive. As an alternative I went into the local garage where Reception was faultless and empathised with me immediately. I cancelled the AA and as a result, an engineer immediately visited my car, diagnosed the problem and arranged repair at the garage which was completed within a couple of hours, indeed before the time scheduled by the AA.? Joe's Repair Shop (Reception and Engineers) provided a marvelous service for a driver in trouble and certainly Tattenham Corner is lucky to enjoy the presence of such a customer orientated service.? Our sincere thanks to all concerned.
