About Us...
Family run friendly garage.
William Rutter Motor Services was established in 1985 in Brunel Road, Bedford. Bill started out as a ‘one man band’, and soon after was joined by Ian Jones. We expanded into our current premises in Hammond Road in 1988. Bill and Ian started out as Ford trained technicians and over the years have gained vast experience and knowledge of most makes of cars. We also went on to become an MOT test station in 1992. We have built up the business by word of mouth recommendations, in fact many people are probably unaware we are tucked away in Hammond Road!

Friendly, efficient, very helpful and happy to answer questions and explain issues or concerns you may have. I have used them for many years after they were recommended by my father. We have both our cars serviced and MOT's here.

I have always been very pleased with the customer service and work carried out by this garage. I was recommended this garage by a number of their existing customers. The staff deal with any queries promptly and maintain a professional and friendly level of service at all times. I have no hesitation recommending this garage to others. It's reassuring as a single parent to be able to trust a garage and know their prices and lead times are fair and accurate and they always try to accommodate my needs around drop off and collections.

A garage that doesn't fleece you! The staff are friendly and all talk with knowledge.. Personally I prefer a garage that fixes what you ask them to fix, points out what might need fixing soon but doesn't pressure you into thinking everything is urgent.. I always come away pleasantly surprised by how little I end up paying!!!

We have used this garage for a few years now and all we get is first class service, and with a smile too They warned me today that my brakes were expensive but needed doing. I didn’t need to question or challenge the tech as he explained my options and outcomes This is a great garage that I’d throughly recommend

No complaints since the first time I brought my car to them over 3 years ago. Been using them ever since with both of my cars. Office staff are so friendly and always communicating when the car is in for servicing etc. You can't ask for anything more.

Had a timing belt change on my fiesta, which I believe is a big job. I have used this garage previously for both of my vehicles and have not been disappointed. Customer service is excellent.
